بعض جامعي القمامة في مدينة ريو البرازيلية يتوجب عليهم النزول بالحبال الى مدن الصفيح لجمع ما يتركه الآخرون ورائهم.
حبال امان وحبال نزول من اهم الادوات المستخدمة للوصول الى مخلفات عديدة، منها ثلاجات قديمة واغلفة اطعمة ومسدسات وحتى جثث.
وتجري حالياً في البرازيل عملية تنظيف واسعة استعداداً لاستضافة نهائيات كأس العالم لكرة القدم والالعاب الاولمبية.
